Within the project (Building Bridges of Cooperation between Citizens & Local Government), Iraqi Almortaqa Foundation for Human Development \ Basra branch held the third seminar of the project funded by the (PIN) on 15/10/2009 at the Hall of the Department of Environment. The seminar had addressed the problem (Remnants of War among Resident Homes) and what they contain of radioactive materials which cause serious damage to the lives such as cancer diseases … etc. It should be noted that this seminar brought together Almortaqa representative, a representative of the Committee on Environment and Health in Basra Provincial Council, a representative of the governor, a representative of the Directorate of Municipalities and Preventive Health, a large number of civil society organizations, journalists and figures involved.
