Strengthening Peaceful Coexistence & Contributing to Conflict Resolution

Introduction: Coexistence is considered an important concept that makes people being existed within communities; it is the more exalted one for the presence of human beings within humanity area that capable of building a solid humanitarian society. Coexistence is in itself a revolution to unite communities, a revolution on selfishness, a revolution on the other rejects humanity, hence we mean by the term "revolution" to move fast to consolidate community within "the peaceful coexistence", but as it is known to scholars and intellectuals; "revolution" needs to make a solid move with theorization as it preceded revolution to bring people within one community. Coexistence does not belong to a society without the other but to all human societies; human being in his nature is coexisted with others in proactive dialogue curricula... Hence our participation came in implementing a number of projects aim at strengthening peaceful coexistence and conflict resolution, these projects are:
· "Project of Empowering Peace-Builder-Women in Kirkuk" in cooperation with Mercy Corps
· "Project of Conflict Resolution Activist Capacity-Building in Kirkuk" in cooperation with RI
· "Project of Conflict Resolution Activist Capacity-Building in Basra" in cooperation with RI
Project Description:
To build and develop the capacity of a group of prominent persons to be peace advocates, disseminate culture of no tribalism and no sectarianism, promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence, and to deliver it to other groups through workshops in Kirkuk and Basra. After the end of the program, participant is to organize workshops and seminars on conflict analysis and management, and form a joint network in the areas benefiting from the project.
Project Objectives:
Strengthening the activist-capabilities within civil society in the target areas in order to build peace and contribute to conflict resolution in these areas, it had been implemented the project in Kirkuk and Basra.
